Semester system

In Cyprus, colleges have three semesters per year. Which are described below:

-Fall Semester (Oct -Jan)
-Spring Semester (Feb -May)
-Summer Semester (June -July)

Most colleges offer all courses in the fall and spring semesters, but only a limited number in the summer semester. Most international students enter Cyprus in the Fall Semester (October).

Admission Requirements

The applicant must submit the required items to apply for admission.

1. Application form of the college with a non-refundable application fee charged by the college.
2. High school records: attested/translated.
3. English language: TOEFL/ IELTS (if taken).
4. Bank letter or financial support letter of more than US$10,000 per year.
5. Letter of good conduct or Police report.
6. Migration certificate.
7. Passport copies.

Cyprus Visa Requirements for Indian Students

International students from India will need to apply for a student visa from the Cyprus Embassy / Consulate in New Delhi. When you are accepted as a student by some college in Cyprus and a Letter of Acceptance is issued to you, you need to apply for a visa. The Embassy will be open to students from 10.00-13.00 Monday to Friday. During the interview, students must bring the following documents. The embassy may or may not interview before issuing a visa.

1. Original and attested copy of 10th and 12th Certificates and Mark sheets.
2. Original letter and copy from the sponsor’s bank (in English) confirming that the sponsor (mother or father) has sufficient funds to finance the student’s fees and living expenses in Cyprus.
3. Original letter and a copy of good conduct (in English) from the police authorities in the student’s country of residence, indicating a clear criminal record.
4. Valid passport and copy of relevant pages.
5. Acceptance letter from Cyprus College.
6. Copy of entry permit sent by the College.
7. The receipts indicating payments to Cyprus College.
8. Visa fee.

For successful applicants, the Embassy will attest to the certified copies of the above documents.

Arrival Check List

1. Students will need to show the copies attested by the Embassy when arriving at the Immigration Office at Larnaca airport.
2. You must declare a total amount of college fee receipts and cash; otherwise, you may not be allowed to enter the country. Provided you have submitted the tuition fees for the first semester and the International Student Guarantee of €340, you need to have at least €2,550 in cash to cover personal expenses (meals, books, accommodation, etc.). These amounts may vary, so you are advised to check the embassy site for updates.
3. The receipts indicating payments to Cyprus College.
4. Copy of the acceptance letter from the Office of Admissions.
5. A valid passport.
6. Return air ticket to the country of origin.
